Oka Skating Academy's Home Base Relocation

At the end of this 2022-2023 season, Oka Skating Academy's home base will be relocating to Devils Lake, ND. This bittersweet transition takes place following Mallory's decision to move closer to family.

*Please note, our services will transition moving forward.

Whether our coaching team has worked with you and your family through our on ice classes, lessons, camps or dryland training, we are grateful for you. This relocation doesn't mean we won't ever be around western North Dakota…it just means when/how we are around will be different. 

For our Williston Community (and surrounding areas) :

Dryland Classes/Training

  • The academy will not be offering any dryland classes or small group training this spring/summer in Williston.

  • We're gathering information on a couple different options available in Williston. When this info is ready, we'll email it out.

  • If you are interested in programming for your athlete to follow on their own, please reach out.

 

Camps

  • You can work with Mallory this July in Crosby, ND at Dakota Roots Hockey School.

  • Our coaching team will get back together for our Power & Edge Camp this October in Williston.

  • Other summer skating opportunities may become available; stay tuned. 

 

On-Going Hockey Power & Edge Lessons

  • These weekly lessons (one, three and six month commitments) will no longer be offered in Williston.

  • Williston and surrounding areas will now receive ‘drop-in lessons' throughout the 2023-2024 season. Registration for these lessons will be shared via email and posted to our website.

 

Figure Skating

  • Figure skating will continue in Williston with our current coaching team.

  • For specific information on this, please reach out. 

 

Learn to Skate

  • The Learn to Skate program in partnership with Williston Parks and Recreation, will continue solely through Parks and Recreation. Our implemented curriculum and structure will remain within the program. Reach out to amanda@wprd.us with any questions.

 

Last but not least, all of our updates will be emailed out and posted to our website as they become available.
